If you already have a diagnosis, you may be aware that views of clinicians and researchers about how to diagnose and treat ADD / ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorders have changed over the last ten to twenty years, and are still changing. You may wish the diagnosis to be reviewed in line with current practice, especially if it was made by a psychologist or other health professional, who may not have had the expertise to distinguish these conditions from other psychiatric or neurological disorders.

You may have self-diagnosed an Autistic Spectrum Disorder or ADD / ADHD, and consider that disorder to have adversely affected your relationships, work, or other areas of your life.

If you have another diagnosis, particularly of a mental health condition such as depression, obsessional or obsessive-compulsive disorder, alcohol or drug dependence, post-traumatic stress disorder, or schizophrenia, then confirming (or ruling out) the presence of even a minor degree of an Autistic Spectrum Disorder or ADD / ADHD, may be helpful in understanding your problems, both for yourself and any professionals helping you.
