All my letters can be used by patients in legal proceedings. I would usually be prepared to provide what the courts call a "professional" witness report, and in some circumstances this may be as good as, or even better than, a non-clinical witness report instructed through the patient's solicitor.
At present I am taking a break from non-clinical witness reports.
I have experience of preparing court reports and presenting evidence in medicolegal (civil law, Mental Health Act, and criminal law) settings. Between 2007 and 2010 I provided thirteen non-clinical witness reports.
